Shift: A Family Health Centre

Chiropractic

Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners (which means they can see patients without a referral from a GP). They focus on treating the spine by using their hands to examine and treat health conditions related to the bones, muscles and joints (musculoskeletal problems).

Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapists assess and treat physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissue and joints of the body, mostly by hands-on manipulation.

Lactation Consulting

Lactation consultants can offer general breastfeeding support and education. This includes showing you how to position and latch your baby for nursing and kangaroo care (skin-to-skin contact). They can also help you manage a wide range of issues that may come up.

Naturopathic Medicine

A Naturopathic Doctor is educated in all of the same basic sciences as an M.D. but also studies holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness.

Holistic Nutrition

A holistic nutritionist or a natural nutritionist is a certified nutritionist who takes an integrated and natural approach to nutrition, viewing the health and well-being of a person as a whole.

Dr. Evan uses a variety of techniques including adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue stretching, exercise prescription, and acupuncture to name a few.

Dr. Evan is excited to be back in his hometown community of Fergus and is now one the the two Co-Owners of Shift: A Family Health Centre.
